The $340 million skytrain contract was awarded in December 2013 to Salini Impregilo. It includes a 4km elevated skytrain viaduct between Bella Vista and Rouse Hill, as well as a 270m landmark cable-stayed rail bridge, similar in design to Sydney’s Anzac Bridge, over Windsor Road and a further 2km of associated surface civil construction works and railway embankments.
Major construction began in November, 2014.
Since 2016 to completion of the viaduct construction, we were involved in a range of environmental and sustainability services with the Impregilo-Salini Joint Venture. These included:
- • Environment and Sustainability Manager for the JV;
- • Management of specialist environmental inputs including contamination remediation, ecological, landscaping, water quality during construction delivery.
- • Environmental assessment and approvals;
- • Delivery of an ISCA ‘leading’ rating for the as built project.
