Biodiversity Offsets Strategy
Tucker Environmental provides end-to-end support for biodiversity offsets and project impact reduction strategies, including the generation and procurement of ecosystem and species credits to meet development offset requirements.
We have successfully implemented over 20 Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements (BSAs), securing the long-term protection of high-value native vegetation and habitat for threatened species. Our team also supports clients with biodiversity credit brokering—connecting landholders and developers, and guiding them through the credit market and regulatory process.
Carbon Strategy and Project Development
Tucker Environmental develops and supports carbon projects that remove and store carbon in vegetation and soils through environmental plantings, soil management, and regenerative agriculture. We work with landholders, producers, and organisations to generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs), improve on-farm resilience, and deliver broader environmental co-benefits such as enhanced biodiversity, healthier soils, and landscape restoration.
Major Project Planning and Approvals
Tucker Environmental routinely undertakes Agricultural Impact Assessments (AIAs) across NSW. We have recently worked across renewable energy projects to resolve design and impact footprint issues tailoring an approach to meet the specific requirements of each project. Our assessments clearly outline how proposed activities may affect agricultural land, productivity, and deal with land use change issues directly with affected landholders to understand their operations. Our work has facilitated the approval of State Significant Development (SSD) and State Significant Infrastructure (SSI) projects, including solar farms, wind farms, and other infrastructure developments.
Natural Capital Assessment
Tucker Environmental helps landholders and investors assess and enhance the natural capital of their properties by identifying key environmental assets such as vegetation, soils, and water systems. These assessments form the foundation for strategic land management, unlocking opportunities in carbon and biodiversity markets while supporting improved productivity, soil health, drought resilience, and long-term property value. We offer tailored, property-specific advice to inform decision-making, guide investment, and support goals such as rural property acquisition or participation in emerging environmental markets.
